At the sweet age of 16, Jaime and Stuart started dating. Before "Facebook Official" was a thing, they were official in the eyes of Jaime's best friend, as you can see in her journal entry from March 8, 2005. This is what you would call a love story between high school sweethearts-or perhaps the classic story of the girl next door.

Jaime and Stuart grew up on perpendicular streets in Cocoa, Florida. Had their parents chosen anywhere else to build a home, this love story may not have ever been written. Living so close meant Jaime and Stuart attended elementary, middle and high school together. They rode the same school bus, had many mutual friends and attended several school functions together.

 

In high school, Stuart was on the golf team and the baseball team. Jaime was involved with band, tennis and cheerleading. The tennis courts were right in front of the baseball fields at the high school. Oftentimes, both practices would overlap. Stuart was named the senior class flirt, and needless to say, there was plenty of flirting between Jaime and Stuart at practices. This eventually led to them attending senior prom together.

After graduating from high school, Jaime and Stuart went on to pursue their collegiate and professional careers. (Go Knights!) When Jaime graduated from UCF, she landed a job in Atlanta, GA. While it was so very hard to leave, it was an opportunity for Jaime to grow professionally. Over the course of two years, Jaime and Stuart endured a long-distance relationship. Stuart supported Jaime's dreams and desires, as he still does to this day. Though Jaime's job in Atlanta was going well, she knew her heart and soul were in Florida, which led her back home.

Not long after returning to Florida, Jaime and Stuart bought their own little slice of paradise on the Space Coast. ​

In April 2020, Jaime and Stuart welcomed their son into the world. Their love and commitment grew stronger for each other as they learned to navigate parenthood (and everyday life) during a global pandemic. On Christmas morning that same year, Stuart asked Jaime for her hand in marriage. While she said yes, others were saying "finally!"

​

Together, Jaime and Stuart have celebrated life and grieved loss. They have weathered many seasons that were as up-and-down as a UCF Knights football season. But through every season, they continue to be each other's number one fans. 

​

Some family and lifelong friends probably knew before they did that one day they would marry. Cocoa Village is the perfect place for Jaime and Stuart to tie the knot because it plays such a significant part in who they are as a couple. Marrying Jaime and Stuart is their youth pastor, Dean Sawyer. Dean has known the two since they were young teenagers. 

 

Jaime and Stuart are thankful for the love and support of their family and friends and look forward to celebrating with you as their love story continues.
